The Country Club Bridge project, which was completed by Gray Construction Corporation of Morgan City, is nearing completion just in time for summer. The bridge is scheduled for opening Monday, May 23, 2011, which is within the projected construction timeframe. The $324,000 project funded by the 2009 Bond Issue involved installation of new concrete pilings, replacement of the old bridge with a new bridge and hand rails, and relocation and replacement of existing waterlines.
Completion of the Country Club Bridge allows the Parish to move forward with the Greenwood Bridge project that was delayed until the school year ended. Read the full article from St. John Parish at http://www.sjbparish.com/news_details.php?id=375
